One of the highlights of 2022 so far, a fantastic electronic album by the producer/musician & DJ Michael Diamond from Oxford, who is a resident at the distinguished Oxford club night 'Simple'. Fresh from being part of Gilles Peterson, Selassive & co's 'Future Bubblers' project Michael drops his debut album 'Third Culture' on the Vāsuki Sound imprint; which fuses etheral jazz-breaks, two-step, cinematic excursions, sax-driven ambient, and more. The 'dance' album is always a hard task to pull off, but Michael really nails it here and it's already been receiving love from the DJs HAAi, Ben UFO and others. The album is accompanied by a booklet with a short story by close friend Áine Kim Kenned, well recommended.
