A big first vinyl release on Brighton's new record label MXTR see a release by the amazing Brighton-born vocalist / singer-songwriter Orla Rae.
Her debut EP, ORLA, (produced by James Berkeley of Yakul fame) is a deeply personal and emotionally rich project that captures the highs, lows, and self-revelations of a young woman stepping into her own. Blending R&B, soul, pop, and jazz influences, the EP tells a coming-of-age story rooted in heartbreak, growth, and reclaiming self-worth. Orla draws inspiration from Stevie Wonder, Jazmine Sullivan, Cleo Sol, Victoria Monét, and Brandy and has supported artists such as Lynda Dawn, Sophie Faith, IYAMAH, and performed with Grammy-winning duo Blue Lab Beats on their EU tour.
A limited edition of only 100 copies and an exclusive to the Mr Bongo website, each copy has been individually stamped and decorated by Orla. A superb debut EP from an artist destined for big things!
